Rich and Strange 1

The first in a monthly series for paid subscribers.

Rich and strange is a new monthly newsletter for paid subscribers. While it will look at seaside towns (I have lived by the sea all my life, and I’m currently working on a book on the subject) it will also be of wider interest - taking in art and music, ideas of Englishness, living a local life, and architecture and urban regeneration. It will be a showcase for new writing, sometimes use extracts of writing from my archives, and mix creative writing with heritage, history, and theory. As if that’s not enough, by subscribing you’ll cheer me up, give me hope, and support my wider work.
